The Story
HIK Network partnered with a local agricultural cooperative to install a micro-hydropower system that supplied energy for irrigation. Before the project, farmers relied on expensive diesel pumps, limiting the frequency and efficiency of irrigation.
As a result, our customers now reap the benefits of a merger that has allowed constant water access, enabling year-round farming.
What did Hik Network Do?
HIK Network began by visiting the site to analyze the available water flow, measuring seasonal variations and peak flow rates. This included gathering hydrological data and assessing the community’s energy needs to match supply with demand.
- Partnered with trusted manufacturers to source high-quality generators, turbines, and related equipment.
- Deployed engineers and technicians to handle the equipment installation.
- Organized intensive workshops to train local technicians in system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Developed user-friendly manuals in local languages to enhance understanding.
Set up a digital monitoring system to track the performance of the micro-hydro generators remotely and Worked with the cooperative to create a fund for maintenance expenses, ensuring long-term sustainability.
